Bought a set of 3 QEP sponges for renovating bathroom floors (16" x 16" travertine, 1/16" pitch). Tiles to clean excess grout from the edges of the travertine and from the Removing top of travertine after curing. Sponges were then used to remove excess grout and residue from top of tile. I don't know why some reviewers said these sponges were absorbent. This must be the case, as per Revain reviews different but similar products combined as the sponges absorb a lot of water and absorb it quickly and drain the water easily with a simple squeeze A must when you are laying tiles or applying grout Use it properly and your post grout cleaning will be up reduced to a minimum (swipe once on one side, turn the sponge over and wipe once in the other direction, then the S put sponge in a bucket of water, it is dipped, gently pour water, and then just ring and press the sponge). By wiping the tile back and forth several times, you simply spread the grout film (or thin layer) over the surface of the tile, and later you need more effort to remove the haze from the surface of the tile. The first napkin collects excess grout, the second napkin (on the other side of the sponge) removes the remaining residue. These sponges appear to be extremely durable, much better than small cellulose sponges.
