I bought their TV LEDs, two of their lightbulbs, Christmas (deck) lights and now this! Each product is a little cheaper, especially when compared to options like Phillips, but they don't let me down. Many have accompanied me for years. Before I bought these forks I bought them from another brand. When they showed up, I found that they only work with Wi-Fi and specifically in the 2.4GHz band. I work in IT so my home network is heavily monitored and in my case I have disabled the 2.4GHz network for all but a few very specific use cases. For example, my smart thermostat uses it, but internet access is possible from anywhere. While with the plugs I bought the phone app will only work if your phone is also in the 2.4GHz band. It won't fly, I don't have to switch my phone to that band or use that band regularly if I don't want to. So I returned them. On the other hand, Govee also works via Bluetooth. Of course there are criticisms of this setup, the most obvious being that I would need to be in the same room as the outlet, but I'm willing to put up with that rather than change my network to my preference. My current use case is hanging on my Christmas tree, which is just perfect.
