This scarf is made of viscose, rayon, with a light fringe. I love that viscose is made from plants and not oil (like polyester). I ordered it in golden melange. The color is not quite what I saw in the photo. It has a light olive tone. This is a brightly colored weave with thin, light threads going in one direction and a golden assine going in the other. I was surprised that it is slightly itchy, which is unusual for viscose. In addition, it tends to wrinkle. The label says 100% viscose made in India, there are laundry symbols. You can hand wash and iron this in cold water, probably not too hot. The workmanship is fine and the appearance is good. It was packed in a crumpled bag, cellophane I think.
