Good quality and good price

My hands used to get numb when riding a drop bar road bike. Good padded gloves (Inbike) helped, adjusting the bike fit helped minimize hand strain, but at the end of the day when riding 25 miles or more the hands started to get numb. I've come to the conclusion that I have skinny arms without much meat to stuff. So I used this tape to double wrap my drop bars and it worked. Aside from the extra padding, this increases the overall size of the bars to disperse the pressure on my hands. This practically eliminated the numbness of the hands. The tape is a good thickness if you use it alone, I haven't measured it but it's probably at least 3mm thick, maybe more. It's durable and you can stretch it without breaking it. Feels good on the handlebars, good grip, doesn't get slippery when wet (get in the rain on a ride). I've only been using it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on durability yet. For the price, this is excellent value compared to similar tapes that cost 2 to 4 times as much. One note: the description of the adhesive is a bit vague (definitely a "lost in translation" issue), this tape does NOT have an adhesive backing. They come with two strips of tape to attach the tape to the end of the wrap on the top of the handlebar. An additional "gift” is a rubber band that can be used to attach things to the bike. I use it to add extra rubber to my Garmin Varia radar.

Pros
  • Not easy to break, heavy duty
Cons
  • Nothing here
