Review on Metal DND Coins Set With Leather Bag - 145PCS For RPG Tabletop Games: Glow In The Dark Eyes, 60 Gold Coins, 40 Silver Coins, 40 Copper Coins, 5 Platinum Coins, Game Tokens by Mike Lawler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good, sturdy coins that are probably not safe for children

My main point of reviewing is to say the 5 moon shaped "platinum" coins contain about 1% lead. This is a small amount that is perfectly safe to handle but it could be an issue if you were to put it in your mouth like a child might.I know the lead composition because I'm a chemist and at my work we have a device known as an X-ray fluorometer. It's basically a gun that shoots X-ray beans into a sample and can tell you what metals are present without harming the sample. I tested all four types of the coins with it because I was curious to see what they were made out of. Only the moon coins had anything of concern and that's only if you chew on them. These are good coins as long as you don't put the platinum ones in your mouth. Seriously, if you were thinking about buying these before my review, I would still buy them as long as they were not being given to children who are young enough to chew on them.
