This is the ideal length for a windshield mounted dash cam.

This is the perfect length for a dash cam mounted on the windshield of a 2015 Mazda 3 with the USB-A end connected to the USB port between the front seats. Any shorter cable will cause problems. The cable works as advertised. I haven't had any problems so far. Both plugs on the ends of the cable fit smoothly into the corresponding sockets on the DVR and Mazda USB port. Inexpensive product of good quality.
