Great fans. Super quiet, long service life. I wish they were cheaper. I've used them on a super micro to quiet the CPU fans and it works great for that. Luckily nobody will see them because they are quite ugly. RE: Replacing a Supermicro fan with a KGPE-D16 mobile device with AMD Opteron. You should also replace the thermal paste. I got a -7°C drop with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut! So if you're changing fans to something similar but lower volume, you should definitely upgrade your thermal paste. Running at 100% CPU for 30 minutes, the temperature remained stable and within ideal specs.
