Edit: After using the pad for a few months I had to give it up. I felt it was too thick and firm for what I needed for me. I always ended up with my neck at a weird angle. I've never tried taking the pads off so maybe it would get better. I sometimes use it as back support when sleeping on my side and it's fine for that. When I first received the pillow I immediately opened it up to let it take its full shape. It didn't last long but I wanted to give it enough time before using it. It would be nice to use after 2 or 3 hours. I slept great the first night and woke up feeling great, and it was great for the first week. The following weekend I must have slept in an odd position and woke up with a sore neck. I don't feel the pillows are to blame, I sleep more on my side and often find myself awkwardly under my arm or an oddly arched neck. It took me a few days to get over this and the pillow really seemed to help me, although one night I slept without a pillow at all due to discomfort. What I like about this pillow: This pillow has a very soft cover. which you could probably use without the case if you wanted to. It closes with a zip and is removable so it can be washed. It is very hard but soft at the same time. It's almost like a feather pillow to me, but it holds its shape better and is more supportive. It might be too crowded for some people, but since it's made to open, you can take out some of the filling and adjust it to your liking. What I don't like: I don't really know if there's anything I don't like. I like it. It's very firm and takes a little getting used to, but that's actually because I usually have cheap pillows that don't last long or don't hold their firmness for long. Most of the time I really like this pillow. I would recommend it to a friend or family member and will probably order a second one.
