So before buying I read the reviews and then watched the Daft video on Kickstarter showing the characteristics of the comb. I was a bit hesitant as it had mixed reviews. Well, I got it in the mail today. The first thing I did was take it out of the box and try to open it. It was smooth but had a lot of resistance and I couldn't tell if it had magnets or not. I tried to compare the comb I received to the one on their official website and it looks identical and is sold by a real company on Amazon so it must be real right? So why do these other reviewers claim it's aluminum and there are no magnets and the case is flimsy? these people are full of leaves. I took the magnet I had and it was attracted to the metal case which told me it's steel, the shine of the case tells me it's stainless steel so I don't have to worry about rusting, then i took a steel screwdriver and touched it the magnets that are in the head of the comb and yes they are strong magnets but why don't they react like in your video? ok there is an adjustment/adjustment screw on the side of the case and all it took was loosening it a bit and the comb worked just like their video. I was able to slide the comb out and open it up a bit and it stays upright with these magnets, I was really impressed with the movement. Next, I started analyzing the comb frame. So I know it's stainless steel, but how durable is it? Well, I have strong manly arms and I could hardly bend the frame with my hands. This frame is very strong and I am confident that the comb head will never be damaged due to frame failure. That other review where an office jockey broke it must have been very thick and carried it in my back pocket or it was a lie because I weigh 325 pounds and it doesn't flex in my back pocket when I sit down . All in all, I'm so impressed with this hairbrush that I'm going to do a video review on YouTube. Thanks Art for making a great hairbrush at a great price.
