Review on ๐Ÿ”ง ARES 70921-2-Liter Manual Brake Fluid Pressure Bleeder - Efficient and Convenient Brake Fluid Change - User-Friendly Single-Handed Manual Pump Operation by Matt Kucrud

Revainrating 5 out of 5

the best there is sliced โ€‹โ€‹bread - BUT. . . .

I'm amazed. I bought something from Revain and it does exactly what it says on the tin, it's no crap and it got to me on time - definitely not the usual outcome of buying from Revain. The device is absurdly easy to use, doesn't leak, the cap fits the master cylinder in my car and most importantly, it just WORKS. Pump it up, put the hose on the fitting, open the fitting about a turn and watch the old liquid pour out. The device holds at least 3 liters of liquid. When you're done, press the silver pressure relief valve for about 15 seconds and you can remove the cap and reinstall the original master cylinder cap. Old style metal master cylinders with double square metal covers held in place by stiff buns of wire. To do this, the vehicle must have a plastic master cylinder with a threaded round plastic cap. My 1987 Caddilac Allante does this and I was able to bleed the master cylinder, ABS battery and ABS pump in less than 30 minutes. Then I opened the hood on my 1978 Eldorado and found the metal master cylinder situation. It's ok, I made an adapter off the top of an old cylinder, but it's something to be aware of. I find that almost all cars built in 1980 or so will fit in this tool.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Not everything fits
