I have a Yamaha RX-V530 A/V Receiver. I have had it for many years. It is great. No HDMI, but I use optical lines for my DVD/CD player and smart TV. When playing music, no input signal is sent to the center channel. When watching TV shows and movies, I set the center channel on my Yamaha RX-V530 to "small" and increased it by 2-3 dB. It seems to be working great. It's small, so it can be placed under the TV or, in my case, just above it. All of my other speakers are Polk audio so I wanted to buy a Polk but for some reason I bought this Yamaha. It's small, handles speech and high-pitched sounds well in movies and TV. I've only been using it for 4 days and set it up through the receiver but I'm happy with it. The sound is good for such a small speaker. Hard to tell with my big Polk floorstanding speakers and 10" powered subwoofer. Helped to hear voices and some high pitched sounds in movies and TV. EDIT: After a week of watching movies and TV shows intensively with this Yamaha NS -C210 became clear why the center channel connections were needed. The voices and high tones of many species are very clear now. I have noticed that the overall volume on my receiver has dropped 2 stops when watching movies and TV. I would recommend this speaker IF you watch a lot of movies and TV shows with a digital signal (5.1) or better If you only use your system for music, forget about the center channel, you don't need it for music.
