Review on πŸ¦– Colossal Tyrannosaurus Dinosaur from Jurassic World by Juan Castillo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Its length is over 3 feet!

How about a toy that's longer than the child you're buying it for? A word. GREAT. Let's get that out of the way. This T.Rex is the biggest dinosaur toy I've ever owned. Defeat a 1988 3x3 Playskool Ultrasaurus. Knock it out on its 30th birthday. This thing is so big it's about twice the height and length of an old red rex. So to your pluses. The detail is incredible. So good, dare I say it would look great in a man cave. Suitable for adults to play with like a 4 year old. All lines and markings follow the film. The mouth moves from top to bottom as it should. This rex will eat toys and most likely valuables. There is a compartment for releasing consumed property. The toy is very durable. Feet and legs move for maximum stability. The material is mostly hard plastic, which is a downside for us fans of the 93-97 JP toy line. The durability seems great though. Cons NO REAL FEELINGS! Mattel does a great job with the JW line (since Hasbro smashed and burned the 15" Jurassic World line. Their Rex was weird, small and awful looking with screw holes on the sides). This Rex looks a lot like the movies. Something that even the Thrash Rex from The Lost World can't claim to have. However, the Rex of the '90s was made of rubber. They are easily manipulated, albeit with a loss of mobility. This Rex is big and strong but stands stable. So this is the best Rex? As an adult, it's hard to say. The Kenner line from the '90s is beautiful, if nostalgic. It's so big that storage can be an issue, but for a child, this is the best Rex you can ever buy. Imagine you are under 4 feet tall and have a Rex that is almost your size. It has to be unforgettable. I gave my Ultrasaurus to my son when he was two years old. He still loves it and plays with it as much as I do. The fact is that such a toy is unlikely to ever leave a child until he has children. Great job Mattel.
