As a self proclaimed furniture assembly expert, assembling this item was a truly horrible experience. bottom line. something I'm ashamed to have in my living room. Seriously, I never write reviews for Revain, but this crap made me do it. First, the instructions are completely incomprehensible. If you decide you hate yourself enough to purchase this piece, remember that the side with the "gap" in the middle leads to the doors. Get it right the first time or you'll end up with 9 horribly ugly screw holes on the front of your cat poop palace. Second, some of the gadgets included in the kit are things I've never seen before in my life. Some sort of cylindrical self-tightening screw that you insert another screw into, but perpendicular to it?! The end product is a top shelf that hardly stays put, thanks to these villains. So when I pick it up to take it to another place, I have to grab it at the bottom to avoid tearing off the top. Why not just use the L brackets like any other DIY furniture? Finally, the packaging is just awesome. It came in thin styrofoam that fell apart and now not only do I have an ugly drawer in my living room, I have at least 426 tiny pieces of styrofoam junk strewn all over the place that can't be cleaned up. because it clings to anything it touches due to Styrofoam's mysterious static properties and magic. Please, for the love of all that ever was, do yourself a favor and find something at pet smart in person instead of buying this junk.
