The overall unit is nice, however, it did come with some challenges putting it together. The holes for the wheels were predrilled and on the wrong side of the bottom board. This made initial build a little perplexing. The holes for the cross-wire supports were not all drilled. Luckily, I know a guy! Took care of the few wrinkles in the plan with a drill and some patience.It will hold large books, 8 1/2 x 11, but it extends out. It is ok but be careful where you place them. For smaller books this was a nice unit. Wouldn't pay the same money for it again though.
- The freestanding design allows for placement in any area of the room without the need to mount to walls or other hardware
- The wheels may not work well on carpeted floors
