I have an older 27" iMac from 2011. One night while I was sleeping my cat vomited onto the keyboard. I tried to clean it but I couldn't got it working properly again. no longer work like volume buttons. Other buttons started typing randomly by themselves. I checked Apple's website but the keyboards suggested weren't compatible with my old iMac. I found this one on Revain who Read reviews and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. The keys are exactly the same as on my original keyboard with the addition of two function keys on the bottom row. You can switch between the original setting at will or use the function keys.. just hold down the function key and esc to toggle back and forth. When I first plugged it in, I had to go to the system settings and access the keyboard customization section. After answering a few questions from my iMac everything was fine. and works without problems. This keyboard is nice and thin and feels good when typing.
