The lamp fits perfectly with this plug, this is the hole in the car.

Note that there are many 7440/7443 connectors and many of them are not compatible with each other. I bought these for Toyota Prius front turn signals and rear turn signals. Doesn't fit either. I found something that fits the front turn signals and turns out the connector doesn't fit the rear turn signals. Even on the same machine they use different plugs for the same bulb. The lightbulb fits right into this connector, there is a hole in the car that it doesn't fit.
