Wiring Harness Sockets for iJDMTOY 7440 7443: Compatible with LED Bulbs, Turn Signal & Brake Lights Review

Not for Honda CR-V 2005. Socket for reverse lamp. Of course, the bulb fits, but this cartridge is far and not even close. Ridiculous

This is not compatible with my Chevy Colorado. If this should work, please tell me how. I've crossed the wires in every possible way, but the top right light still doesn't light up. Very disappointed.

Perfect for 1996 Toyota 4runner base taillight. Can be used for brake light, rear light or as a turn signal replacement. I'm pretty sure this will work on a 1996-2000 4runner. Probably the sr5 as well, since a lot of non-engine related things are the same.

The iJDMTOY wiring harness worked great with my LED switches. I chose this trailer because the experience I had with this company was wonderful due to the high quality. This wiring harness is just what I need to install reverse lights to turn on my 2015 Subaru.

I used them to make LED adapters for my Nissan Sentra so I didn't have to change the factory wiring. It fits perfectly and works as requested. I hooked them up to the 7443 harness pin adapters along with the required resistors, plugged them in and no problem. The LED lights work perfectly and are exactly what I wanted.

This product worked with my 2015 Subaru 7440 socket with some tweaks. They are slightly different as some people have mentioned so compare the pictures! But it was a good starting point for my project to achieve twice the brightness for my application. All I had to do was remove the rubber pad and maybe trim one of the tabs a bit with a dremel and add some tape near the tabs to help them tighten up better. Now I get twice the brightness of 7443! Compared to single function 7440.

Note that there are many 7440/7443 connectors and many of them are not compatible with each other. I bought these for Toyota Prius front turn signals and rear turn signals. Doesn't fit either. I found something that fits the front turn signals and turns out the connector doesn't fit the rear turn signals. Even on the same machine they use different plugs for the same bulb. The lightbulb fits right into this connector, there is a hole in the car that it doesn't fit.

Not all 7440 outlets are the same configuration/style. This socket will not fit to replace my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero. The socket on my truck has a larger outer diameter. This socket is too small, it won't snap into my brake light housing. Luckily I found a new B/L body with 7440 socket and bulb from another supplier at a fair price. "Truck repaired" - this is how it is checked again. Should not be refunded so it will be added to my auto parts box for another day.

I adjusted all the headlights in my 14 Juke. While these 7443 jacks *technically* fit and work fairly well, they are not the same as the standard jacks. While functional, I wouldn't call them "universal" as I can imagine there are many applications where this would not be a good replacement. These connectors "click" instead of twisting and are slightly looser than stock or OEM direct replacements. I'll keep an eye out to see if they let moisture in and update if/when that happens.
