Flash with MagMod fits MacGrip!

Yes, the flash body doesn't have as much padding as others have said, but the material is good quality and thick enough. The most important thing for me was finding a flash housing that would fit my Godox V860II with the MagMod MacGrip attached to the flash. I figured for under $7 why not take a chance. And it fits, albeit a little snugly, as the MacGrip head is a bit wider than the velcro cover on top, but that's fine with me as it fits without having to remove the MacGrip. The back of the flash housing has a somewhat rigid 2" x 6" tab with reinforced edges that is held in place by a wide strap sewn into the edges of the piping that slides over the strap and stays in place position remains. There is a velcro pad under the tongue and also a velcro tab to keep it in place, great detail! In my case, the tab slides vertically through the horizontal strap on the outside of the ThinkTank Retrospect 7's case. The bottom compartment has 4 sewn-in elastic straps for AA batteries, but I put an extra Li-on battery in there in a case. This is a much better flash body than the one that came with the V850 and V860 and I will be ordering a few more. Godox has no belt or bottom compartment.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Nothing
