It charges via micro USB and includes a charger with cable. This thing has 20 speeds and is very relaxing. The only drawback I see is the size. It's a bit difficult to hold it for a long period of time. However, it provides the power needed to stimulate the muscles. All in all, this is a serious neck, back, and body massager. It's great quality and I love the massage case and attachment.
