Review on Zensah Featherweight Compression Ultra Light Sleeves by Bob Vulpes

VERY VERY small! in calf and calf bandages

I am a woman in my 50s with chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins in the lower extremities. As a result, I've been wearing compression stockings for about 3 years to reduce swelling in my legs and relieve varicose vein pain. To say we bought MANY different pairs of compression stockings. Full socks, no fingers, calf sleeves, etc. would be the understatement of the year! So I have many products to compare this to. I really thought this was one of my favorite guys. I like the feel of the fabric etc and they are good quality. BUT, they are so small! My shins aren't heavy at all - they're pretty slim, in fact - but these featherweight Zensah calf sleeves fit so tight on my legs that I had to take them off because they were interfering with circulation and causing pain in my legs and feet. It's a shame; they are actually well done. But compared to all the MANY others I've bought over the last few years, they are WAY smaller than everyone else. In fact, I haven't found any others that are even remotely as small! My advice ---- since they are too tight even on my rather skinny shins, they will be very tight on you if your legs are even a little heavy! By the way, it's not because they have higher compression than others I've compared them to. I actually emailed Zensah to ask about their compression and was told they were 15-20mmHg. Many of the others I wear actually have higher compressions of 20-30mmHg. (FYI, of all the products I've purchased, my favorite compression product so far is the Mediven Comfort closed sock, which I wear throughout fall and winter. And my favorite calf compression sleeve for summer is Doc Miller Premium Calf Compression Sleeves Both are very comfortable for me I have been buying and wearing Mediven Comfort for a few years now and they are holding up very well Doc Miller calf wraps have only been purchased recently but I can already say I will be buying more pairs due to how comfortable they are They are for me, I wash them all in a laundry bag in the washing machine but DO NOT tumble dry.) Compression stockings are not cheap! I hate spending money only to find out it's not working for me. Unfortunately, I have a drawer FULL of socks ($$$!) that I bought that I can't wear for one reason or another. I read countless reviews when trying to figure out what to buy. Hope this review helps someone else!
