Spend your money and get a Spicer Block

Everything seemed fine after installation. The fit is the same and seems up to the task, but today after only a few thousand miles in use I've noticed that there is a lot of play in the bearing retainer ring in the outer case. The vibration returned and I thought it was bad tires. Fitted new tires with no change. I also took a closer look at my brakes, thinking that a sticking caliper and/or a slipping pin might be causing that sticky feeling. Nothing changed in the symptoms. This seems to allow for vibration when the gearbox is relieved at 50mph +/- and on small descents. It doesn't do this under acceleration, but at that point there will be enough force to make it stiff enough that it can't wiggle freely. I live in a relatively flat area but have recently been to a very hilly part of Pa. What I noticed was that there was a tactile feeling in the floor, seat and steering wheel on every descent that a lot of people talk about. It's like an unbalanced tire or a propshaft. There are aftermarket options that aren't much more expensive, but after looking at the OEM unit I replaced and my brother's DCSB, both are much tighter. I have a 6 foot Gen2 Access Cab bed (2 piece shaft, 3 gimbals). I can pull myself together and move the whole device clearly. The donut moves up and down and side to side in a metal holder. Spicer makes genuine Toyota units. They aren't much more expensive.
