Its fan emits a slight audible whistling and a slight squeak at 2400Hz (see decibel reading from 10cm away) - it's fairly quiet but makes podcasting painful as you have to clean the audio to get it to remove . Please upgrade this product to use a UL listed power supply, or at least not a very schematic one. A few extra dollars will protect people from a rare but catastrophic situation. For the less experienced electrical engineer, the attached photo shows a tiny AC/DC converter in a large plastic box. This means that over time it can heat up to levels that will either burn things near the box or melt the internal parts, which will catch fire on their own. A word of balance here for potential buyers, many manufacturers of this type of device (bulbs) use similar power supplies. So if the power supply seems cheap (lightweight, thin, no UL or other stickers on it), make sure you don't use it unsupervised. Alternatively, you can ask a question in the question section to see if the power supply is UL listed - then the manufacturer should at least consider the fire risk of their device.
