I put this rug on my porch because my neighbor's cats kept spraying my front door and pooping on my front door mat. I have struggled with this behavior for years without success. It was to the point where the paint was peeling off my door because all the urine was eating through the paint. I didn't expect miracles when I ordered this rug as I have never had a chance to keep cats. from my porch. I HAVE A MIRACLE. The cats stopped spraying my front door and pooping on my porch the day I put the rug down and haven't come to their senses. I never expected that there would be such a big difference right off the bat. My porch no longer smells like the inside of my house. I chose this particular blanket because the spikes are very close together and I've noticed in other reviews of other blankets that people have said their cats walk carefully between the spikes and will piss on them anyway. area because they were farther apart. The spikes on this carpet are very close together. Too small for a cat to walk between. I have to step over this rug to get into my house and it's a small price to pay to keep cats from peeing and pooping on my porch. When I first got the mat it wanted to stay rolled up so I put some rocks and plants on the outside and now it stays up on its own. I still keep small plants in the corners so the wind doesn't blow them around. I would 100% recommend this mat to cat owners or anyone looking to keep cats off their property!
