I advise you to order one size (or two) smaller if you plan to try on a child. I have a 5 year old grandson and I bought a size 5 and I'm sure it will fit my 8 year old granddaughter. Otherwise this is a very nice coat. The heavier side is for colder winters and the ribbing on the sleeves and hood are well finished. Overall this is excellent value for money. Just trust me when I say it works MORE than expected.
