Review on πŸ‘ Fanola No Yellow Shampoo Review - Effective 11.83 Fl Oz Hair Toner by Shannon Reynolds

Extremely pigmented and does what it promises. However, not for everyone.

Finally a purple shampoo that really does something for my coppery hair! I have silvery white hair that is exceptionally difficult to maintain because it turns coppery easily and is difficult to remove. Shimmer Lights, Joico, Paul Mitchell, none of their tinted shampoos will do anything to my hair even if I leave it on for an hour. I usually have to dilute purple direct dyes like Pulp Riot or Pravana to dent the brass. It's nice not having to set aside time to mix up a batch of custom toner, carefully apply it, and then sit around for an hour while it does its thing. This shampoo actually works very well and can save me a lot of time on my bi-weekly color care. Fanola does however sound! It takes a while for my hair and I have to apply it to slightly damp or dry hair, but after 20-30 minutes my platinum neutral takes on a cool silvery hue. FWIW, most people probably don't need to leave this on their hair as long as I do because my hair takes an unusual amount of effort to tone it even a little (stylists often have to tone it 3 times to get it) me of warm tones, normal people only take 1 toning session). I have a few small spots right on my head that I have yet to fix with thinner paint, but these are common problem areas that give me problems no matter what color or condition my hair is, so I do it doesn't think that's a problem with this shampoo, but rather just causes more pain in my hair. And I love that it doesn't dry out my hair too much. Although it has SLS, it's actually quite mild, which was surprising because I'm used to toning shampoos that are so harsh on my frizzy hair that I have to deeply condition my hair after use to even get semi-manageable hair to think it. Be careful, if your hair is very damaged and porous you should watch your ends carefully while it's on your hair and maybe wash some parts before the roots or just shampoo the roots. Porous hair can turn lilac gray if left on for too long. It will fade over time, but nobody wants the occasional gray or purple stain in a platinum or blonde blonde. Keep in mind that this shampoo is not suitable for people with darker hair. it's purple Purple only dyes yellow and pale gold brass, if your hair is darker than medium blonde (level 8 or so) then it won't do you any good and you need something blue instead to combat your golden-orange color. tones. People with light blonde or platinum blonde hair will see the greatest benefit here. So if you use this on brown hair it's not the shampoo's fault you're not seeing results, you're not using the right color to match your hair color.
