These shoes have helped me a lot. I also have flat feet/collapsed arches and plantar fasciitis. I've had this problem for three years now. It was terrible. I did physical therapy. In that time we have bought (and returned) about 40 pairs of shoes and 13 pairs of insoles. It's gotten to the point where I can barely stand. I also have other physical problems. bad spine Weak Thighs. And I'm over thirty! They hold their heels very well. I recommend them for strong stability. I was surprised it wasn't a ton of custom arch support that made them feel good. It was stability. I keep my feet still. Now I can walk! I confess that I don't really like the look of these shoes. I'm not a sneaker fan. But I got a little desperate and loved her even more. I call them my beta fish shoes because I think they look a bit nautical. Now I have two pairs of shoes. If like me you have concerns and are looking, Alegria's Essence is like heaven. I'm a walking person again.
