It just so happened. The first one I got was the wrong size (although I followed the size chart instructions correctly). Sending it back, getting money into my account and buying the next size up was no problem. If you're rough with your gear, this jacket probably isn't for you. The zippers are weak but functional. I'm not sure about the water resistance because. I haven't had a chance to verify it. Wearing a balaclava with a jacket in the summer is a guaranteed weight loss from profuse sweating. It's definitely a lot nicer in winter. The lining is not Gore-Tex but PVC so breathability will be an issue. 7-7-17 color was the main reason I bought the jacket. Regardless of the color, they are all from the same manufacturer. It gets quite warm in the ATL range, but the white helps reflect the sun and the lack of lining allows for adequate airflow.
