Honest Amish was great but I think this one is better

Just received my order for this and immediately switched to Honest Amish Beard Balm. Honest Amish was great, but this one is better in my opinion. Grave Before Shave Beard Balm has the best texture, hold and scent (at least Bay Rum, I can't speak for other scents). I'm also really keen on the ingredients! After over a year of growing a beard I have tried several products and this is my favorite. The honest Amish were a bit mealy for me. As if the ingredients didn't want to mix. I tried different methods of melting and cooling but nothing worked. It also melted when I took it out of the jar, making the process difficult. Sometimes it would melt on my finger and fall back into the glass, and other times it would just turn into a liquid right away. This made it difficult to estimate the amount. GBS has a consistency that stays solid until you warm it in your palms. Impressively, it stayed solid while sitting on my porch in a shipping box at 90+Β°F with a 101Β°F temperature index. This makes accurate measuring much easier! It's also very smooth and buttery because all the ingredients mix together so well. Fixation is my favorite aspect so far. I had to mix Honest Amish with some mustache wax to tame the flyaway hair and give my beard some control and shape. With GBS, retention and taming is just there. I wouldn't call it a beard wax - it's definitely a balm - but it's more of a balm than the Honest Amish, which is almost entirely a heavy oil. The taste of Bay Rum is light but noticeable. It doesn't fill any space, but I can still smell it on my beard a good six hours after applying it. It's a very pleasant scent and is consistent with other bay rum scented products (lipstick, hair tonic, soap, deodorant, etc.) I've sniffed. Compared to a regular Ax product or a cheap cologne, its scent is more sophisticated and gentlemanly. It reminded me of the old-school barber shop where I got my hair cut, run by the same man who opened it in 1959. Brave. beneficial. nostalgic. The ingredients listed on the bottom of the jar are as follows; Coconut oil, shea butter, beeswax, tea tree oil, pure apricot oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, vitamin E, aloe vera and "certain essential oils". Coconut oil not only makes your beard grow faster, but also gives it a nice shine and is also antibacterial and antifungal! Shea butter and beeswax help give hair the desired hold and tameness. Other oils and vitamin E support the care of skin and beard and make care easier. Aloe Vera moisturizes your beard and helps other ingredients penetrate its rough hair and skin, reducing the chances of you getting that dreaded beard itch. Without knowing what essential oils are used in this product, I can only tell you what I know about essential oils. They are amazing! Sure, most of them smell great, but what really makes them shine is what they do to your hair and skin. Some of them are just wonders that contain natural chemicals that benefit your hair and skin at the molecular level. Overall, I highly recommend Grave Before Shave Beard Balm. I hope to try other flavors soon!
