Review on 🧳 Briggs Riley Baseline Expandable Toiletry Kit by Trisha Griffin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great quality, disappointing design.

Although the design is typical of B&R, the design lacks ingenuity. I ditched the B&R hanging toiletry bag (discontinued but very durable) because I wanted less vertical and more horizontal and I wanted to try the countertop approach. But the hanging bag had 5 inner elastic pockets, a small zippered pocket and inner elastic straps for comb and electric toothbrush. This bag is more than just a generic box; There is nothing special about its features to organize things (except 2 zip pockets). Inner zippered mesh pocket should be 2 stretch pockets. There should be an elastic band along the spine so that the comb does not interfere. There should be several elastic pockets along the inner perimeter. The outside pocket feels useless and could be enlarged to hold a hairbrush and/or electric toothbrush. What I was hoping for was to fit my short bottles and shaving pot and have some sort of divider for the tubes, which are all taller than the bottles. Instead, all I have to do is assemble everything and do a bit of digging. Not critical given the overall quality, but very disappointing given the ingenuity B&R has applied to its other bags. I recommend: a) don't buy expandable unless you plan on carrying a lot of stuff; b) If you need ingenuity, look elsewhere.
