Firstly, I spent a heck of a lot of time installing this, but that's the norm for screen protectors. As a previous reviewer noted, to really avoid dust getting between the screen and the screen protector, the room should be dust-free. I must have taken the thing off about 10 times before I let the little dust circles win. After figuring out the screen with a few small circles, I continued to use my 15-inch Surface Pro 3 and found touch input to be almost non-existent. So I quickly tore off the protective film. The reconfiguration affected this one way or another, but all but one corner appeared to be well taped and I didn't see anything in the instructions (or YouTube videos) advising against reconfiguration.
