Review on SONGMICS Large Bamboo Bed Tray with Tilting Top, Drawer, and Right-Left Handed Laptop Desk by Adrian Hayes

This is a beautiful and well made tray. It required no assembly and is a must have accessory for the next month or so after recovery. I like flat areas on at least one side of the incline, but both sides are luxurious. I use this chart after my leg surgery. I have to keep my toes over my nose for two weeks. When I'm sitting, there's not much room in the V between my chest and raised leg. The height of this table is adjustable, and at max height, the width fits the V snugly without digging into my foot. I chose the longer size because the area of the computer/book that can be lifted at an angle is in the middle as opposed to the narrower ones where it's offset to the side. The reason was to save my neck by looking straight ahead while I work and I'm glad I made that choice. but the solution involves several trade-offs. The table is very long and the extra centimeters mean that I take up more than half the space in the double bed. When my husband wanted to read next to me, he gets a very small part of the bed, which he skeptically measured and hasn't decided yet. It also weighs more than its shorter length and I imagine it will be harder to get out of the way. The leg height adjustment has a good lock that has endured three days of travel, but there is no lock to keep the legs open at the right angle for stability. When my husband lifts the table straight up, maintaining the angle is not a problem, but when I try to move it sideways so I can stand up, my foot inevitably gets stuck in the bed covers and collapses. When I was a kid, the sick tray I fondly remember was on tubular sleds that looked like legs that slid easily over crumpled bedding, but I couldn't find a tray in this style that I liked. Another improvement I would suggest is a few more grooves to set the tilt at lower angles. Other than these issues, it works well and I can't imagine life without it.
