Review on Airscape Coffee and Food Storage Canister - Airtight Lid for Optimal Freshness, Two-Way Valve, Stainless Steel Container, Small 4-Inch (Mocha Brown) by Russ Mashlan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy; Well. The "mocha " color is very muted.

I bought the 32 ounce version off the shelf at my local Peet's Coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find out who is behind the company's design - I've been a big fan of Planetary Design's original French Boot Cut and Desk Press 20oz mugs for a number of years. The design is so functional that I bought a second one - mocha for my regular beans and stainless steel for my decaf. But the real mocha finish is not as dark as it appears in the photo. If it hadn't been parked next to a silver container, I probably wouldn't have noticed the color. The concept here is so simple, which is great: press on the inner black cap to squeeze out excess air. Close the simple handle blocking the passage of air through the black cover. Click on the transparent cover to finish printing. Of course, there's no way to continue sucking air out of the container like some storage containers with a swing pump offer, but this design keeps my half pound of beans fresh enough that I'm sure I could do better. with ground coffee due to higher packing density and fewer air pockets. Aside from the bright color, the finishes are beautiful. The plastic lids are thick and resilient with fleshy gaskets. There is little to complain about here.
