I received it today. I had a previous pair of another brand that didn't stay. So. I get it. But these stay. I put them on my dog and he decided to play pranks and dig in the garden with them on his feet! I am impressed! So to calm him down from digging, I took him on a 6 block walk. And again they stayed. Living in an area with a lot of junk and glass on the floor, I'm more confident that his feet are protected. I still walk around glass. I'm taking off a star because the velcro has a rather small tab for fastening. I mean the velcro is long but a bit on the end to not make the attachment very long. You also need to be careful not to let the velcro snag on the fabric, but the product is instructed to secure the velcro to prevent this. Velcro has a closure and you can take it off if you don't need a strap or if you want to take it off by putting the sock on the dog, then attach the velcro to wrap and secure. I will buy a second pair.
