We are moving from an apartment where we lived with dogs for 6 years. I wanted to be able to find locations and make sure they were all edited before we moved. That does the trick! It not only finds animal accident stains on the carpet, but also points out in your laundry room where detergent stains have not been completely washed out, and in your bathroom where human stains have not been completely removed, and even in the kitchen where other fluorescents have not been completely removed too seem to be (I think some things like oils and banana stains are also visible in black light). Walls, doorknobs, this thing sees everything! I'm really impressed and think I'll keep it as part of my cleaning arsenal for the new location we're moving to. Didn't realize there were no batteries included, but a quick trip to the store fixed it. This requires 6 AA batteries so make sure you have these on hand when ordering.
