To be honest, I was very skeptical. I bought three more braces and sent them back because they just weren't what I was looking for. Having sprained my ankle twice (both sides) in four months, I needed stability. I went from the hard bracket to this one. When I opened the package, I immediately doubted whether it was even worth carrying. It was very thin and had no stiffness at all. I sucked it off and tried it on and while there was no brace or bone to keep my ankle from rocking from side to side, I will say this thing makes my ankle feel GREAT. I'm working on my feet and I'm twisting and turning all the time and I need something to help me with that. Although I wish it had a little more structure and stiffness, I am so happy and satisfied with how it is relieving my ankle pain. All in all, if you're looking for something to keep your ankle from spinning, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a lightweight brace that provides soft tissue support, then this is the one for you.
