I use these in my Fluval 306 filter in my 29 gallon aquarium. The setup I'm using looks like this. Biofoam in lower hopper, Seachem biomatrix media in second hopper, fine water polishing pads in upper hopper at bottom with carbon over fine buffing wheel on side and Seachem. purigen on the other hand on another water buff. I found this works best for me. This is a good product and now I always add it to my can filter. Just keep in mind that there are several types of cloudy water that this may not do well with, such as: B. algae and bacterial blooms. Algae is green water and bacterial blooms look like milk. These polishing pads also help get rid of tannins, but I recommend using Seachem Purigen when using these pads for best results.
