This small bivouac provides basic shelter from the weather when not driving or attending an event. The tent does not stand on its own, but rests on tension by anchoring the front and back down. The included stretchers also help with the larger loop next to the head. I bought a can of silicone spray and double coated it (drying between sprays) for extra protection, especially around the seams. I had a night of heavy rain that lasted about 5 hours and stayed completely dry. It was an extra precaution and I can't tell if a spray was required but I do it with all my camping accommodations. This tent has been boxed and is small and light. I'm not claustrophobic so the limited space doesn't bother me. Neither steam nor morning drops drip from the top of the tent if I keep the vent open. Unpacking and setting up and dismantling is quick and doesn't take up valuable daylight on my hike. Trips. The bright yellow is for emergency preparedness and I hope I never have to use it for search and rescue or injury.
