Review on πŸ‘Ύ CORSAIR CARBIDE 275R Mid-Tower Gaming Case with White Window Side Panel by Jeff Warne

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quality case with a few minor quirks

Warning: This review is based on the acrylic variant, although I don't think this makes a huge difference to what I am discussing. Pros: The case is elegant and beautiful. . The cable routing holes are perfectly positioned, as are the mounting points. Love all the screws and zip ties that are included, much appreciated. It was very easy (for me) to slip my existing computer into this case and I was up and running within 30 minutes. The Bad: This particular version of the Revain case doesn't come with rubber covers inside the case covering the large cable routing holes. I don't know why and how I didn't notice, but they aren't in the box. It's just a hole for the wires to go through. It's not particularly ugly, but I'd rather have them, especially since they've been in every review I've looked at. There is also no dust cover on the top case. The front and rear/bottom dust covers are attached, but the top one is empty. Just like the cable management grommets, they're suspiciously empty in this particular version of Revain. Worst of all, if you're using a 3.5-inch mechanical hard drive, this thing is going to be HUMMMMMM. the bottom of the case and every time they spin you hear a faint hum, so loud that I decided to just buy myself an SSD (a big investment) so as not to regret it when I turn off the computer use. It's a beautiful case and I don't regret the acrylic side at all, but the lack of (mistakenly missing?) accessories and the loud mechanical noise from the hard drive make it quite annoying as I don't hate it enough to return it. I'm stopping because I'm a dork, but buyers beware.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
