I paid about $500 for a refurbished HT2050 projector and am very happy with it. As expected, my original lamp lost its brightness after a while, and since the lamp cost $250, I decided to try cheaper fakes. I bought a $90 lamp which had a lot of good reviews and it ran for about 2000 hours before fading which is actually very good! This time I decided to buy an even cheaper lamp and see what happens. Enter the Abitan lamp and after 20 days of use it looks spectacular and performs as expected. It's too early to tell how many hours it will be before it dies, but I'm hoping for 2000 hours. Heck, at that price I'll replace it in 1000 hours! WARNING: Installing frameless BenQ replacement bulbs is not as easy as it sounds. Luckily I found a video that helped me a lot, just find your projector model + lamp replacement.
