Review on ๐Ÿ’† Emjoi eRase e60: Dual Opposed Heads Epilator with Shaver/Trimmer & Sensitive Attachments by Jennifer Schreier

Requires patience and cornstarch, but it works!

I have tried almost every hair removal product (razor, wax, depilatory cream and even laser) and this is my favorite. This is my second epilator. The first one, also Emjoi, was battery powered and worked well, but I wanted something that didn't require constant replacement of batteries. Here's the thing: Emjoi takes longer than shaving, but the result lasts a little longer. I only use it once a week and prefer to spend ten minutes shaving (and constantly buying razors, shaving cream, etc.) every time I shower. The best trick I've learned is to sprinkle cornstarch on your skin before epilating. Without cornstarch, the blades stick to my skin. After I powder, they grab the hair much more effectively and the whole process goes much faster. Cornstarch makes a big difference in epilation under the armpits, but it also helps on the legs. It hurts a little, but as many other reviewers have said, the more you do it, the less it bothers you. I'm not particularly bothered by the tingling, but I've seen how it can irritate some. However, if like me you have sensitive skin and are prone to ingrown hairs, the discomfort is worth it. I have fewer ingrown hairs when using Emjoi. So far my Emjoi has lasted up to several months of use. The price is great considering you also get a shaving head. It's nice to be able to plug in a device and not have to worry about a dead battery. If you are serious about using an epilator, this is for you. If you're not sure, you can try a cheaper battery-powered model first. However, this product is more durable and better if you are willing to spend a little more.
