This chair replaced the smaller seat I had in the shower. I got to a point where I couldn't lift my legs 7 inches to get in and out of the shower stall. This is exactly what I need because I can sit all the time while I'm in the shower. However, I have to stand if I want to wash my butt and private parts in the shower. It's definitely better than spending thousands on a bathroom remodel. It takes up a lot of space, so be sure to measure it, especially if you use it in the shower. It took me a few times to feel secure because my right hand is cramped and it's difficult to reach for the knob to rotate the seat since it's on the right side. The handle for folding and unfolding the seat is at the rear, not the front. It would be easier for me to reach the front. I'm only 5 feet tall so my feet don't touch the ground and I don't sit as far back as someone a few inches taller than me. I do not regret this purchase. I would buy it again right away!
