Review on πŸ“· VK-Q5 Camera Shoulder Neck Strap Belt - Universal, Adjustable & Quick Release Safety Tether for DSLR Camera, Offering Enhanced Comfort by Trevor Palmer

great idea, poorly executed

Firstly, the fact that it doesn't have a thumbscrew like the black Rapid band is a complete failure. Carrying a hex key or screwdriver with you all the time makes this very inconvenient. Also, the seat belt that attaches to the camera is too weak for a professional camera body. The fact that you *NEED* a seat belt is a bad thing. A black threshold does not require a seat belt. If you add a thumbscrew to the mount, you don't need a quick-release mount at all. A quick release seems unreliable and downright dangerous. The camera body slips off the eccentric too easily. And the device itself doesn't let the camera slide up and down like it should. Again, they must study the black rapids to see how to do it properly. Too bad Black Rapid doesn't have dual straps that attach to the body because that's all they really need to make their product a winner. On the other hand, the VK-Q5 seems to try too much and end up failing. at all trying to achieve it.
