Guess I need to get rid of the UGREEN cables. I had one that I thought was good, but now I have three terrible ones in a row. This particular cable is so stiff that my iPhone falls over if I try to lay the cable on a table. It also tends to rotate the phone so I can't read it. It's just a very bulky, stiff and uncomfortable cable. The OD is difficult to measure as the cable is quite lumpy meaning the OD will vary depending on the exact measuring point, but it is approximately 4.4mm (0.173 inch). In comparison, the Apple cable that came with my iPhone is 2.9mm (0.114") and the 1m Apple USB-C/Lightning cable is 3.4mm (0.134"). This cable is much bulkier and the difference in flexibility is negligible. .For those who associate thickness with goodness, this cable might sound good, but in my opinion the lack of flexibility only serves to put too much stress on the connectors, both on the cable and on the devices connected to it. and build quality than just size. Personally, I don't think this cable would prove to be overly durable, but even if it did, destroying my chargers and connected devices would be a lousy compromise. Truck tires are larger and more durable than grand touring tires, but would h be better for a nice car? Speaking for myself, I'll be returning this cable and switching to Apple's "GT"-like offering.
