Bought for my son for a trip to Yosemite. At first I bought them a regular size but they got too big even with socks. So I bought him another pair in a smaller size and they were perfect for thin socks. He wore it trekking over 2 miles on a muddy and sometimes rocky trail and never complained of any pain in his legs. I tossed them in the washing machine when they got very dirty, air dried and they look brand new! I will keep a large pair to save for future use.
