Doubtful! on consumables and painting tools

I still doubt it. I've been a carpenter for almost 25 years, so I know how to use the tools. The way it happened was unsuitable for thin/finished goods. It may have worked on the cabinet paneling. It might have scratched the melamine but I try to stay away from that stuff so I didn't have anything to test with. I left a line on the surface of a finished birch. The surface that runs along the surface of the plywood is metal, and the smallest burr will leave a scratch. I took the file on it and deleted most of it. then took 3M Cubitron 320 grit sandpaper onto a flat surface and polished the surface of the metal ski. It no longer leaves scratches, but now all the protective varnish is gone, so bare steel quickly rusts. I'll hold him for a while, but maybe he'll come back. Be prepared to play around with it when using it on surface materials.
