Not So Good: Antennas

This antenna isn't a radical style or space-saving upgrade from more traditional bunny ear designs. I've tried at least 5 antennas and this one turned out to be second to last. I started with dollar store bunny ears, they worked amazingly well, but I had nowhere to put them and they fell apart (I liked this antenna so much I resoldered it and used it in another room with an old TV). . I then bought a Terk HDTVa Boosted Indoor HDTVa Antenna for off air HDTV reception, this antenna worked even better than the bunny ears but the antenna on the main TV in my house wasn't working properly so I swapped it out by using the variable calculated. The performance was related to the position of the antenna rather than the antenna itself. I was wrong, the antenna with the high-end amplifier was the worst. Which brings me to this antenna, I bought it in combination with the Terk FDTV1A Flat Digital. Omnidirectional indoor antenna with black amplifier using a splitter/combiner. I've tried every combination I could think of: boosted FDTV2A, cross-slot boosted, combined boosted or no boosted signal, and each boosted and unboosted antenna individually. I got the worst signal with this antenna, amplified or not. This antenna performs poorly and is not as good as the similarly priced Terk FDTV1A Amplified Flat Digital Omnidirectional Black Room Antenna. When you need superior performance and space, choose the Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified HDTV Antenna for off-air HDTV reception. If you don't have the space, the Leaf might be worth a try, and if price is an issue, head down to your dollar store and buy a basic set of bunny ears. For the record, I live in suburban Denver about 15 miles from the TV towers.
