You won't find a better tripod for under $50!

I am a professional corporate photographer and have a lot of equipment, including several tripods. A good tripod is an essential tool for anyone taking photos or videos, and I use it every day in my work. There are certain things I look for when choosing a tripod. The important thing is that it is of high quality. For under $50, the Q310 is very well made. The legs are aluminum and strong, the locks are secure and I'm not worried about them falling off or breaking. I found the adjustable head to be very sturdy and well-molded plastic, and the camera plate was firmly and securely attached. The head is amazingly smooth in all directions and holds the camera in place very well. My cameras aren't big or heavy, but some of them are quite expensive and I was confident that this tripod would hold them securely and get the job done without spending a fortune. The Q310 is fairly compact and lightweight, although it doesn't feel cheap at all. It fits very well in my camera bag and will accompany me everywhere. The legs extend and lock securely in the open position, and the rubber feet adjust to the desired angle. This tripod is actually the lowest I have, but it also adjusts to 65 inches. It's not that strong when it goes to this height, but it will come loose if needed. One feature I find interesting is the detachable center stand that doubles as a monopod. I very rarely use a monopod, but sometimes I shoot videos with a stabilizer. I didn't find the monopod to be very durable, especially when stretched out, but when you hold it less than 5 feet away it works really well. The head is also detachable, which is handy if you're using a slider or boom and want to attach it directly to the tripod base. If you've bought a tripod you've probably realized that some of them are very expensive, but not all good tripods have to be expensive, it all depends on how you're going to use them. This tripod works for what I'm shooting about 80% of the time. It's lighter and more compact than most I own, so in many cases it will actually do the job better. You can find a better option than the Q310 for less than $50.
