Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Improved SEO: ASICS Gel-Cumulus 21 Men's Running Shoes by David Mills

Cushion is missing

I am a runner and although I only run about 4 miles a week it is important that I have shoes that not only protect my feet from impact but are also comfortable. I bought men's shoes because they tend to be wider and I didn't like the colors offered for women's wide widths. I used to have Gel-Nimbus 18's and they were amazing! But modern models were not so soft. I was very discouraged when I read expert reviews that said Cumulus was softer and better for my needs. I tried Cumulus on and didn't notice a difference, so I bought Cumulus and tried them at home. I've found that the problem with current models is the insole - it's very thin, while my old shoes have a surprisingly spongy insole. I put an old insole in my new shoes and everything changed! I don't understand why Asics uses such a cheap insole. In summary, this shoe is great in every way except for the cushioning - I had to add my own insole to make it comfortable. And the tongue and ankle cushioning isn't that great either. I hope Asics go back to their old design in the future because I don't think a few grams of weight saved is worth the loss of comfort.
