I bought this because it was compatible with my Echo Point. We have a large basement ready and a point at one end. It is very difficult to hear from across the room. I needed a speaker that I could place on the other side of the basement so the music playing on my echo point could be heard throughout the basement. I synced the speaker perfectly with my echo dot, but when you turn the speaker on the sound just comes out of the speaker and it's not loud enough for everyone in the basement to hear. The speaker itself works great, it just doesn't do what I need it to.
