Strong to the touch but short lived

I bought them on June 28th, today is August 12th and unfortunately both of them no longer work. They make the phone beep repeatedly without charging. Both cables stay in place and don't move. One stays downstairs, the other upstairs for nightly charging so they don't get overloaded with it.
